How long do I have to wait until I can play sports with a healed broken finger?

A certain amount of days before, I broke my right middle finger DIP bone. I went to the hospital and the doctor gave me a splint. I have the splint removed after wearing it for almost 5 weeks. How long do I have to wait until i can play sports?

1. It should be good to go. Just tape it to the finger next to it and have fun.
2. Im not trying to minimise your pain or anything, but a lot of people play sport while their finger is broken. They just strap it. Its not very smart, but they do it without any further damage being done. Seeing as yours has healed, it will be fine to play now if you tape it up. Good luck!
3. hmm, i have the exact situation as you. Id guess the 2 answers should be correct but im not sure how long you would need to tape it.
